RE: BB Class of 2017
Solly also visited Michigan recently
Haven't seen him mentioned visiting anywhere else so it might be down to us and UM on Friday. No idea what the plan for him would be given his age and possibility of him having to sit out a year, but he looks like a player to me, I'd be happy to get him.
He doesn't seem all that offended by seeing Nippert "defiled" - maybe from living in France?
fixed the pic for BearcatnKY

Never a shortage of knee jerk reactions on this board, I'm afraid.
If you don't think recruiting has been disappointing, I'd disagree.
As has been pointed out in thread after thread, being a McDonald's All-American candidate isn't exactly a huge deal. Hundreds of players are nominated and for whatever reason a decent amount of the consensus top 100 or so guys were left off the list. Why? Who knows. If I remember correctly, we assumed it was grades-related for some of them.
3 and 4-star recruits don't matter if they're not evaluated properly and/or aren't developed by the coaching staff.
Edit: I mean, go look at the 247 team rankings. It leaves a lot to be desired, especially when you're forced to look at what Xavier's done over the years.
Not really. Yes, they have grabbed a couple gems for sure (Semaj, Sumner, Bluiett). But so have we.
They also have 15 players transfer out (well mostly pushed out, but whatever), in the last few years - some of them the well ranked guys you are talking about.
Remember this - they have signed exactly as many "5 stars" as they have made final fours. ZERO. For all the talk and hype - they haven't exactly "made it" yet.

So some kid named Trevor Moore just committed to us. Couldn't find a recruiting profile or anything else, but folks seem to be pumped about him.

They seem pumped over on 247 but I've never heard of him or seen him mentioned anywhere on any national site. It doesn't look like he's even rated anywhere on any of the sites.

We beat out Stephen F. Austin, LIU-Brooklyn, Old Dominion, and Murray State...
Every highlight video I have seen only shows him hitting standing threes, but he's sinking them all and from basically every spot around the arc. If all he is is a good to great shooter then I'm perfectly fine with it. A bit troublesome that his best offer outside of us was from the Southland Conference though.

FWIW:
#38 on this list
https://rivals.yahoo.com/texashoops/bask.../rank-3620
but when you click his profile it just lists him as a 3*

I looked as well and couldn't find anything. Anybody have a list of his finalists and his offer list?
Maybe there's a reason he doesn't have a profile anywhere that I could find, but that doesn't make me feel that great about the continued direction of basketball recruiting.
Edit: I've found a couple profiles with next to no information on him, but there seems to be a huge question on his height, ranging from 6' to 6'6. Did he have a huge growth spurt recently?

Wow..... I figured it was going to be an ugly list when you can't really find anything on him and these national guys don't even know who he is. In this day and age it's really hard to be an unknown...

RE: BB Class of 2017
I'm not sure why he hasn't been recruited very heavily yet, but he hit 41/101 from deep in his Under Armour summer league. I don't think anyone is expecting him to be an all-around phenom, but if he can play a role similar to someone like Field Williams, then no questions asked.

Keep in mind that it's June of 2016. He's a 2017 kid. Most of the bigger programs offer later. Mick probably didn't want to wait for the kid to potentially blow up, so he offered early. He had a solid summer, so his slight gamble could pay some nice dividends. We'll see.
