Beating the crap outta Western? Oh yeah, we definitely want to make it an annual event.
But seriously, I expect the game to be much closer and tougher this year. See you guys on 9/10!

It's going to be closer in bowling green, I still think we are going to win. I hope WKU steamrolls Vandy, but WKU defense will keep the game close

We've certainly had years with big swings from one year to the next, but 49 points isn't just a bad game. Two turnovers at the end of the game to give up a game-winning field goal with no time left, yeah, that could be a bad game (and I think the rest of our season bears that out).
But 49 points is a heck of a bad game.

As a fanbase I hope Western is NEVER like this...
so sad
I see Tech fans do it and I see Marshall fans doing it and my question is why? How does last years score play any part in this years game? But hey don't worry Tech fans, you keep that score, at least you'll have something to point to

Everywhere I look I see that WKU is a CUSA favorite. Why? Because of how they (well, the offense) performed last season. And I read that Doughty is a player to watch and should be CUSA player of the year, etc. Why is that? Is it because we know how he's going to do this season already by looking into our crystal balls?
Last year's record (or score) isn't the only way to determine who will win (or be favored) this season, but it certainly is a decent start to predicting this year's game. It's part of the equation.
And we only have that score until there is a new one, that's not unique to us. Beat us this season, and you'll have a good basis for quieting talk of Tech beating you guys in 2016 (and we'll throw back all the reasons we think we can, like number of starters lost, new star players we've signed, circumstances from this year's game, etc.).

I think you had to witness the game in person, to really see how much of blow-out it was like the UTEP game.
I remember looking forward to seeing Doughty in person, but his mechanics were awful and he floated the ball. He couldn't scramble well either. So I wasn't impressed at all.
But all that aside, I'm thinking it's going to be a lot closer game in Bowling Green

I think WKU is pretty excited to be hosting the game. I'm hearing rumblings they may even break the 15k attendance mark for the game

How many of those same players are still at Tech? Add in DC too. Even if all of your players returned and all of Western's ...
last years score still wouldn't mean anything. Well anything other han Tech won a game very easily...LAST YEAR. Comparing scores is useless, well next to useless
