5) Bowling Green @ Purdue
6) Indiana @ Wake Forest
7) Maryland @ West Virginia

9) (GOTW)Ohio @ Minnesota
10) Western Michigan @ Ohio State #RTB...into the rocks

I would rank BYU at Michigan or Maryland at West Virginia as the GOTW. Is the GOTW based on best matchup or does it just rotate?

I kinda try to pick a game that could go either way or affect the perception of the conference. Some rivalry games are considered but only if its worthy of making it worth 2 points in the pick em.

Thanks, I figured it would be a good way to get the Big Ten fans from the other sections of the site to frequent and comment here. Few of us here have tried to get this board up and running, there was maybe 4 regular Big Ten posters on this site about 2+ years ago, and none of us really posted here.

Single game-wise, I can think of worse losses in the past 10 years (Kent State 2012, Tulane 2010, Cincy 2006).
However, if Kansas beats Rutgers on Saturday, the program will be in a state of utter collapse.
I think Kansas beats the spread (double digits from what I remember), but RU wins.

OP are you keeping tabs for overall record? Sorry I got to this late. I'm a Memphis fan but I'm a huge college football fan and love doing these.
To late to jump in?

Never too late to jump in. Mind explaining what you mean by total record? I use spreadsheet with formulas added to calculate score from the 15 regular season weeks and I'm considering dropping the lowest 2 or 3 scores at the end of the season for those that miss a couple weeks and didnt have a chance to make their weekly picks.

By overall record I was referring to the weeks W/L added up. So someone goes 10-4 week 1, 9-5 week 2, and 13-1 week three the overall would be 32-10.
I just read the OP and see exactly what you we referring to with the score now though, I think it's great. Since I'll be 3 weeks behind I like it better actually :).

Yeah its just a points system with some twists, GOTW's being worth 2 and wild cards that either gain you points of lose you points and I always have every big ten team (I have a few errors here and there) as part of the pick em since you know, its for the conference board first since its always such an unpredictable conferences with teams like Minnesota, Northwestern, and Iowa in the mix to always spoil someone's season. Michigan and Penn State rebuilding, an inconsistent Nebraska team, and of course the meat of the group Ohio State, Sparty, and wisky. And I always try to include some of the best top 25 conference games and have added a MAC wildcard spot because of MACTION.

Yeah, I definitely agree.I have been trying to get into quite a few of these. Other than the AAC one I am pretty much behind, but that's fine. It's the Pick'em week to week that I like. Also, make every game interesting. When I started doing Fanduel/Draftkings etc.. It made all sports A LOT more fun. Even though top 10% nets you about $5 lol. The pick'ems have added to the excitement and I have never done one with the point system you have. Looking forward to it!
Thanks for letting me join in!
Hope not too many people will get mad at me lol. I follow everyone so I have a different outlook on it as an outsider. I'm wrong quite a bit though so no worries .

I'm actually an Eastern Michigan fan, I just enjoy the league Big Ten better and spend most my time over here than the MAC board. So you're not the only outsider. And I'm surprised no one here has done a point system on csn yet, throws a few twists in it for excitement, specially when GOTW is like Ohio State vs Sparty or Sparty vs Wisky or mid tier matchups like the ever so enjoyable Northwestern and Minnesota matchup for the best average team. Glad to have ya aboard.
