Oh I don't wear ties to football games, but throughout the SEC and the South people do dress up for college football games. Nothing wrong with that. I imagine the fraternities and sororities at Memphis do the same thing.

Look closer at that entire outfit. Nobody I know in the South "dresses up" like that for football games. Bowtie, long sleeve white dress shirt, tight pink pants, dress loafers without socks, a pom pom hanging out of his butt, etc.

This is the point. The majority of them dress like that, as opposed to a minority at other southern schools. It's rather humorous and nauseating at the same time.

I apologize for getting this stirred up. It was really the red slacks that generated my "men's stores" comment and I should have stated that. It's not unusual for me to wear khakis and a blue Oxford button down collared shirt, so I'm not lost on a casual prep look myself. Red slacks with pompom is way over the top for me however. :)
