In this we can agree. I won't scold the guy but I will do this if I ever see him.

Important to remember that the usa has no jurisdiction over there. It is their country, not ours.

I still kinda feel as if he should be scolded for it. Maybe not publicly though. I feel as if a self respecting person should value life enough not to just take it. Hell, one of the signs often uses of serial killers and such is their abuse/murder of animals at a young age.

The 1st Amendment gives you the right to scold the guy, for now at least. I hunted as a teenager, mainly dove, quail, duck, etc but we always ate whatever we hunted.

I used to shoot birds with my beebee gun when I was a kid. I'm not proud of it now but I was 10.

This guy is a grown man.

Very few of these African hunts result in the hunter bringing home any meat because it is against US law to bring it in the country. What happens is the professional hunter will take some for use at the lodge and the majority ends up with local villagers. Other than a few rouge outfits the animal harvested is nothing but bones within a few hours of the harvest.

Meanwhile in other news that actually matters, people are still getting murdered and raped, children killed, women stoned to death, etc.

But poor Cecil.

I don't understand why people can't be upset about trophy killing and other atrocities of our world at the same time.

It's only trophy killing because our government will not allow the importation of the meat. In almost all cases the meat of the harvested animal, including Cecil, is totally utilized by the guide service, local villager or both.

No, both can be appalling.

But when the level of butthurt about the killing of a ******* lion reaches this kind of level while senseless, cruel, disgusting acts continuously happen to human beings with generally no public outcry.......then society needs to have a serious priority check.
