We're gonna go ahead and just lose the rest of the season. No reason to show up, no reason to play it. Might as well give UVA a win too.

There is literally no reason to play the seniors the rest of the season. Let the people who will be there next year get every rep in practice and the game from here on out.

Despite the drastic difference in records everyone thought this one would be close and it was. Vegas and Sagarin liked GT by a few points but I'm glad I took Pitt in our pickem. Even before today this doesn't feel like GT's year.

Big road win for Pitt as they try to rebuild the program. The Panthers are 5-1 and likely get bowl eligible next weekend vs Cuse. The final five games see the SOS go up a bit but no one remaining is unbeatable for Pitt. I could see anything from 7-5 to 9-3.

I can't argue with a word of that.

RE: Open Thread - Week 7
Our lone loss so far came at the buzzer on a 57-yard field against a pretty good Iowa team. I believe the Hawkeyes are still undefeated.

That was a tough loss because it felt like we had a good chance to win it. However, winning on 56-yard field goal in Atlanta sure feels good.

In the interest of full disclosure, I was yelling at the TV for the Panthers to punt the football and force Georgia Tech to drive the length of the field late. I did not like our chances to make that kick and I was terrified to give them the football near midfield that late in the game. Fortunately, I was wrong.

Also, I absolutely agree that we did not defend the Yellow Jackets' option very well at all today. However, we certainly defended it better in the second half than we did in the first half. That offense is a bear to play against and I am glad to be past it with a win.

Hell, I was just glad that we didn't fumble on five of our first seven offensive plays, like we did last year. I have never seen a team get off to a worse start in any football games than we did against Georgia Tech last year. I will find a way to deal with a sloppy defensive effort in a Pitt win.

Georgia Tech will not make a bowl, and that should be enough to have Paul Johnson resign, however he most likely will stay and in 2016 win his fourth ACC coach of the year award!!

How can they watch the replay and come to the conclusion that Dungey's arm wasn't going forward on that "fumble" returned for a TD? It was clear as day going forward.

ACC officials are bad for everybody. Terrible. Horrible. Awful. Pathetic excuses for officials.

We won. That is all that matters. It wasn't pretty, but our players avoid the police blotter.

I would say you need more arrests if you're going to win ... but UNC destroys that theory.

We debated whether the bottom of the Coastal could beat the bottom of the Atlantic the other day... now we know!

The refs stole that game from Syracuse though.

Dungey's arm was going forward on the play they ruled a fumble scoop and score for Virginia. Syracuse wins in regulation if not for that call.

That said what a pathetic performance by the defense in the 4th quarter and all the OTs.

Way to spit the bit Cuse after leading all game. I picked you guys in the pickem and you give up 10 points late to lose the lead and then UVA goes through the Cuse D like its Swiss cheese for 20 points in overtime!

ATTENTION: That loud choking sound you just heard came from Ann Arbor, MI where the Michigan Wolverines just managed to bad-snap a punt for the game winning TD the other way as time expired. Even BC is off the hook now...
