Oh it definitely did. Clemson in the playoffs & ND in the Orange. FSU to the Citrus?

The Orange and the Cotton are the two playoff games. An undefeated Clemson means that FSU loses a NYD spot in the Peach Bowl, probably taken by ND. For ND to go to the Orange Bowl, the committee has to agree to a rematch with Clemson. Not happening.

7-0, 4-0 in conference.
33 in a row over unranked opponents
44 in a row when holding the lead going into the 4th quarter
Largest margin of defeat in Miami history
Largest margin of victory for Clemson in an ACC game since Wake Forest in 1981

On to the Wolfpack.

What if ACC #2 team has only 1 loss but all of the other P5 runners up have 2 losses? (a legitimate possibility this year if FSU beats UF)

FSU would have two losses if it loses to Clemson. They beat UF and finish 10-2, they got a shot. However, the better bet is to hope either Pitt, UNC, or Duke run the table and lose a close game to Clemson in the ACCCG. That team would be 11-2.

Correct, I forgot that the Orange was part of the playoffs this year.

What happens if FSU beats Clemson? Unlikely but what if?

Clemson is looking really good this year Kap. One of the few dominant teams so far.

Then FSU can win the ACCCG and Clemson would have one loss. Clemson would most definitely get one of the major bowl slots at 11-1.

Let's not get carried away. Even more injuries happened yesterday. I find it more plausible that FSU came out flat than the GT defense suddenly found the answers playing even more depleted than they were previously. The offense regressed and handed FSU 10 points for free.

I'm not saying GT won't win. But I'm saying the problems are still there, still glaring, still fundamental, and I see no reason to believe they're all better after a fluke play.

Our OL sucks. Couldn't get any push from the 2 yardline in the first quarter on 1st and goal from the two on back to back runs by Cook. Then false starts out their anus from inside the 10 in the 3rd or 4th. Same crap that happened against Miami that allowed Miami to stick around in that game.

Idc about the FG. The game shouldn't have even come down to that.

Unfortunately, that game guarantees GT keeps its mediocre coach several more years. I know FSU just lost to that pathetic coach, but GT can do better.

Come on Marge. Take your medicine. Last week you were talking about how great you guys were and how Johnson sucked. You just lost to him for the third time since he's been at GT.

I had some FSU alumni sitting by me a Bobby Dodd and they basically said the FSU O-line is really young a few freshman starting and I guess at Louisville the O-line struggled with false starts!!!

Also D. Cook is playing on a bad Hammy....

However I am a Coach Paul Johnson fan, three BCS/New Year Six Bowl appearances and three ACC Championship games since 2008 is not to shabby for GA TECH!!! With all the true Freshman playing....the future is bright for GA TECH!!

Youth, pfft. A true sophomore that started the last half of 2014 as a freshman. A redshirt junior. Two redshirt sophomores, one of which started a couple games last year. A redshirt freshman. We also played another redshirt junior and redshirt freshman in reserve roles. The OL was just as awful to start last season with 5 starting seniors and 4 returning starters from the 2013 national title team.

Cook's hamstring didn't seem to be an issue since he didn't pull up lame like he did in the 3 prior games.

I think Johnson is a garbage coach because he's something like 42-33 since the start of 2010 (winning ~55% of games in the last ~5.5 seasons). That's garbage. GT can do better. I don't give him credit for winning with Gailey's recruits when Johnson has proven he can't recruit as well as Gailey or that he's capable of duplicating that 2-year "run of success" he had to start his career. It's worrisome that GT fans actually like Johnson and those results.
