If the results across the CAA aren't enough to convince someone that you don't sleep on any team, I don't know what will. Taking any game for granted will put a great season and playoff experience at risk.
The thought that winning out could give us the CAA Championship, a bye the first week of the playoffs (needed since our bye week was week 2), possibly be at home till semis is a great incentive.

Good to see their Coach is objective. PI calls are often questionable imo. But glad to see he wasn't harping on the goal line play where Reeves fumbled, Kuzjak picked it up and fumbled again but clearly after his knee was down. Just watched yet again with the slo-mo provided by tribe athletics. The refs got that one right.
I could argue the 2nd return for a TD and the "block in the back" - if that stands that's another 4 point swing (meaning we would have been up a full TD at the end - much different scenario than up 3 as we were). And much different than chasing a team when you are down 11 and down 4 (versus being down 7 & tied).

WMTribe posted the game recap on our board and it is well done. I agree with you on second return. When I saw Reeves fumble on your reply my feeling is the refs got it wrong as I did not think Kuzjak had possession. Of course how do you define possession these days. Not trying to start a ref war as the refs call them as they see them. You all won and a team that gets 32 first downs deserves it. Just thought it was funny how our reactions differ from looking at same video. Moving on.

I never like to agree with JMU on anything, but Reeves fumbled and it was a touchback. Kuzjak never had it. I actually still think the call on the blocked extra point was wrong and JMU should have never gotten another try. As such, the call on the goal line might have been a makeup call. Regardless, when all those things take place in the first half(including the 4th down JMU score), there is way too much time left to think that decided the game. Were they incorrect calls, I think so. However, I never felt either team was markedly better on Saturday. It was going to come down to a play or two in the 4th quarter. We had 3 fumbles we recovered of our own as well including the Armstrong fumble on the kickoff. We won, they lost and they can use it for motivation moving forward. If you look at the last 10 seasons, they have gotten far more breaks and calls than we have in our games with them. On to Elon!

Such are the games that great rivalries are built and maintained.
On a side note, major props to 62Indian who shockingly joined the troops on the JMU board and threw a major league grenade into the battle!

RE: Game 8 - JMU
Refs missed a few calls on both sides. That happens every game, every week, all season long. JMU had an 11-12 point lead no fewer than 3 times and we bounced back. If JMU was the better team, they would have protected a big lead in the second half. Both teams played their asses off and are now preparing for their next opponent. I am officially done discussing a game that went down going on 4 days ago.

Just looked at the recap & totally disagree. Number 89 had both hands on the ball & in control as the ball broke the endzone plane. The ball then came loose. TD for W&M

Final line and comment, at least from me:
A memorable game, a great college football game in a fiercely fought series, that has seen many, and I'm proud of our guys for coming back four times from double-figure deficits
to win this one.

Game is right now on NBCSN - 7-10 PM. 21-9 JMU just scored. Hate that block in the back penalty. Game only gets better from here on in.

RE: Game 8 - JMU
I know it's been discussed ad nauseum, but I focused on the Reeves fumble this go round. The ball was out before Reeves went down. Definitely a fumble. On the recovery, Kuzjak's knee is on the turf before he even lunges for the goal line. I didn't think so live, but it was absolutely the correct call. If it were the NFL, you could argue the touchback.

I dropped Comcast as my provider years ago. Guess Verizon FiOS doesn't carry any Comcast stations other than CSN-MA and Comcast+.

I had fios when I lived in VA and loved it. Fios isn't an option at my new house, but the new xfinity is actually pretty nice
