Unethical and immoral are synonyms.

Of course you would think that. 03-lmfao

Might want to take that up with Merriam-Webster and Google.
From Meriam-Webster...
Quote:Related to IMMORAL
Synonyms
black, dark, evil, bad, iniquitous, nefarious, rotten, sinful, unethical, unlawful, unrighteous, unsavory, vicious, vile, villainous, wicked, wrong

From Google...
Quote:im·mor·al
i(m)ˈmôrəl/Submit
adjective
not conforming to accepted standards of morality.
"an immoral and unwinnable war"
synonyms: unethical, bad, morally wrong, wrongful, wicked, evil, foul, unprincipled, unscrupulous, dishonorable, dishonest, unconscionable, iniquitous, disreputable, corrupt, depraved, vile, villainous, nefarious, base, miscreant; More

What is the difference between Immoral and Unethical?

• Immoral refers to a violation of certain standards that govern human behaviour and conduct.

• Unethical, on the other hand, involves the non-conformity to certain standards that guide a particular role, group or profession.

• Immoral is deeper, in the sense that is based on an individual’s personal and/or spiritual beliefs and what he/she considers to be moral/immoral.

• Unethical, however, traditionally governs the conduct or behaviour of individuals belonging to a particular group or profession.

you forgot this part....
Quote:Keep in mind, however, that despite the subtle difference, the two terms are used interchangeably in society and often as synonyms.

I never said they weren't.

Again, from google

and Mirriam-Webster
Quote:Full Definition of SYNONYM

Care to stop chasing your own tail yet? You thought something was funny about me stating that unethical and immoral were synonyms. I didn't ask why, though I suppose I can ask it now. Why did you phrase it like you did?

You don't know what hard work is. You never worked on a cotton field in the hot sun while a slave owner cracked a whip on your bare back.

You know anyone who has?
Cotton is picked in the winter. Or should I say harvested. The paintings of black folk out in the fields in the blazing sun picking cotton are a total lie. If you were to see actual photographs of people picking cotton (and yes they do exist) they are dressed in winter clothes.

I saw a lot of broken cinder blocks, uneth and imm -onym thingys.....

didn't read through any so I there is zero bias behind the subsequent definition of each....

unethical is when you screw someone to gain personal benefit

immoral is when they screw you and you like it...either knowingly or unknowingly...that's pretty much sums up religion and the media

the immoral are worried about the unethical

the unethical don't give two shites what the immoral think

bawahahahaha

it's just too much fun.....

Not true. It's cotton is picked from September to early November in NC. Plenty of late October days in the mid to upper 80's in my lifetime.

They are in 'winter clothes' because cotton is a very woody plant. Fields aren't a pleasant place to be and long sleeves and coats offered more protection

It's picked in the fall to winter, but it's chopped (to get rid of weeds) in the summer. I did my share of chopping many years ago. I've seen it picked as late as Thanksgiving. Of course, picking is mostly done by machines now, so that's the easy part. Machines do leave more cotton that hand picking.

My point is that it is not picked in the heat of the summer, like most people tend to think. All of the paintings and literature I've ever seen reinforce that blatant lie. I'm not saying picking cotton is pleasant. But then again what farm job is. I grew up picking potatoes and raking blueberries. Not pleasant jobs, but it didn't kill me.

I agree. It is chopped in the summer, though, and that is absolutely no fun either. At least you aren't hunched over all day, that's the thing about picking cotton that's the killer. But not much better otherwise.
