one thing is certain.....there will be a large 'flock of eagle' fans in Ruston saturday....

I will admit confidence.....today showed me once again these guys can overcome hurdles that certain teams in previous seasons could not....

If I had to take one thing away from this season, it would be that.

I give this game to So. Miss. If La tech had such a hard time with UTEP they won't be able to stay in the game with the Eagles. But nonetheless, I'll be watching. It'll be a good game. I have no favorite.

This is the perfect setting to determine just exactly how the Tech fans feel about and how they support a resumption of competition between their school and USM. Remember the Tech- Rice game last year, last of the season, was played for western division championship. Weather was great, sunshine, and the attendance was about 13,000 - 14,000. USM is coming to town, western division championship on the line, last game of season. Only unknown factor at this time is weather but if it is good then the circumstances are exactly the same. You can take your "I hate Tech" agenda and get lost this week. This week is about two proud football programs that are going to war on the gridiron. Your childish, irrational, idiotic, jealous rants against Tech are not wanted this week.

our kids were in the same shoes as them this week.....looking ahead.....we caught a couple of breaks that made it look better....

we both escaped the trap.....

this weekend is another animal.....

it's times like these when it's just fun being a fan.....

No doubt, both teams were guilty of looking ahead. Biggest difference was our Eagles had a great home crowd to lift them up in the second half. Hopefully there will be a nice crowd of Eagle fans in Ruston.

which means nothing this coming saturday along with 'catching a couple of breaks' pal....

saturday's game is *all about* why they work their arse off all year....

I won't take anything away from this week except that we both won. Both teams looked ahead and it showed. But both teams pulled it out and that's all that matters.

I'm looking forward to a great game Saturday. There should be a lot of Golden Eagles in the stands. Pretty much everyone I talk to is going. There's a lot of excitement surrounding this one.
