Bye Pedro
Later, gator. Pedro's out of Pittsburgh.

He wasn't a terrible player but he never lived up to expectations. The fact that his arm betrayed him at third base forced a move to first base that should have worked. Then his glove betrayed him too.

The Pirates are doing the right thing, as usual, in letting him go.

RE: Bye Pedro
I'm not completely a fan of letting him go. We just don't have any options at 1B, unless Josh Bell starts day 1. I'm not saying that he lived up to expectations and is a can't miss player either. I would've rather kept him until Bell was ready and then cut him loose, especially when considering that we gave him up for nothing.

RE: Bye Pedro
We could put an average first baseman there and that would be just as good. Pedro wasn't much above replacement level last year. I don't believe that would even cost us a win in terms of WAR.
