RE: The Basketball Season
We've regressed the last couple of games. Our bigs have got to play better.

RE: The Basketball Season
Well we FINALLY won again to finish the regular season on a winning note, which is great compared to where we expected to finish. The stretch of losing before today was tough after the long streak of winning we were on but it's hard to complain since I feel we overachieved by a mile this season.

What are our chances in the Big South tournament? I'd probably say we have a 10% shot at winning the whole thing. If we play the way we did during our winning streak, then the conference needs to watch out. If we play like the group of underclassmen we are, then we will get bounced early. I'm excited to see what we will do and that's the first time I can say that for a long time with our men's basketball team.

RE: The Basketball Season
We earned the first round bye thanks to Longwood rallying past Radford this evening. That's the good news. The bad news is that we get the team that gave us the most trouble in the regular season in the Quarterfinals ... Asheville. We'll have to make some adjustments after the matchup two games ago.

RE: The Basketball Season
I would have liked a better showing for our basketball team today but it was not to be. We made great strides this season and have much to build on for next year. Hopefully our young team can take the next step and get over the hump and compete for a conference championship next year. The Big South isn't a juggernaut and we should be in contention with our team and resources.

Asheville really was impressive in the tourney. They will be strong again next season. But I am anxious to see what year two of the McKay 2.0 looks like.

RE: The Basketball Season
I think Asheville has most of their guys back. One thing to watch is to see if they all stick around. Bigger schools could come calling.

The Basketball Season
I am going to temper my expectations right now. Rather than thinking we can compete for a conference title like I want to, I'm simply going to hope for a winning record overall and in conference. We finished this season with many more wins than I expected. We did kinda stumble down the stretch, but we were the youngest team in the nation. With the guys coming in next season, we should continue to improve. I think a winning record next year is not out of the question in this program's rebuild.
