RE: GAME THREAD: #25 WKU vs USF - Miami Beach Bowl
Didn't post in the game thread yesterday, so here goes. I felt like, going into halftime, we were ok. USF came out of the gates in the 3rd qtr. running down our throat. What do ya know... they got too pretty and tried to throw it. Trouble. Also, when our D finally decided to quit bull rushing and just contain, their qb became mortal throwing the ball. Our offense was gonna be there, I knew that. Just needed some stops.

Personally, just by record, they shouldn't have even been on the field with WKU. Even the bottom-feeders of the P5 are playing a full P5 conference slate.

P5 conferences generally get the better recruits.. Not always, but a lot of the time. If I were a recruit and I had a SunBelt school recruiting me, or a ACC school recruiting me. Im going the play in the ACC... I don't care if it is Wake Forest vs Arky State. It makes a difference IMHO...

This in a nutshell- to solidify that, UK has the 25th ranked 2016 class, per 247 sports. UK, you heard right. The big boy table, whether you are at the top or the bottom, will often get the nod from recruits over some G5 programs just due to their league affiliation. Conference removed, I pick WKU over UK because of coaching talent, success, etc. But when you mention conference, I am going to play in the SEC. Even if there is immediate playing time at the G5 school, I'm going to the SEC and sitting the bench for two years.

Being close to UK/Vandy, look at the recruiting. I would almost guarantee you that there were several recruits that chose the Commodors or Cats over the HillToppers because of this- take a look at your recruit targets for 2016 (I could be wrong). .... Now most of those guys will never see a bowl game during their career, but that's a different story.

Oh really! You butt hurt?

I think he was making fun of a AAC fan with that comment

My bad then. Sounded like he was talking trash about the Tops.

Yes I was making fun of the AAC poster who said WKU would go 0-12 in the AAC. It sounded funny that if you joined the AAC you wouldn't win any ooc games.

I stick by my conference mates against any out of conference games.
