RE: Marshall vs UCONN bowl thread

Wow, I really am starting to like Litton's upside.

The two other QBs on the roster have announced they will transferr, and Birdsong is said to be considering it. If Birdsong leaves, Litton is the only QB on he roster returning. I think this is a signal that they have to get him on the field to keep him on the team, else we have no depth at the spot behind Litton next year.

Marshall is keeping a vastly inferior UConn in the game

The quick passes have been working all game but the stubborn play caller calls run after run. Go for the win and quit playing to win it in the forth.

Litton has looked good when doc lets him run the O....he's missed a few quick outs, but has looked pretty damn good today...

birdsong is a goon.....you should be happy to wave bye-bye

That kick was atrocious by Marshall. Like probably the worst of the bowl season.

I don't understand any of what has happened in the coaches mind in those situations.....just let it continue to flow....

marshall is easily the better team....

RE: Marshall vs UCONN bowl thread
Marshall Defensive players have to be pissed. They have shut down the UCONN offense all day and Marshall's offense needs to deliver more points when they get into Huskie territory. Seem to remember Marshall's FG Kicker was MT's MVP in our win over Marshall this year. Not sure Doc will let Nick Smith try another kick today. Come on Herd!

Marshall shoots themselves in the foot once again with a holding call on the kickoff.

they should've tried the shortie earlier.....

that penalty was a killer to the kicker...37 vs 42 yds is a big deal to a college kicker's psyche....

now marshall can't kick a fg to make it a two score game....

they fk it up by not kicking the previous fg.....

I wouldn't call UCONN vastly inferior. They are a classic grinder. It's just not as common to see anymore in college football.

I'm a Giants fan and I can also say we've had many a grinder, bring your lunch-pail type teams be some of our best.
