That was 17 years ago. Have you never changed your mind about something?

I don't know why Cruz just didn't invoke The Rev and call NY Hymietown. That would probably play well in Alabama, doncha think?

Love or hate him, Trump is a New York City man to the core. He's born in NYC, raised in NYC, educated in NYC, works in NYC, lives in NYC., and he'll always hold the values of NYC. Socially, he's always been fairly liberal...up to this campaign really. If you really think he's suddenly changed just in time for the Republican primaries, then please go ahead and vote for him. But the man is really not that much of a conservative as he lends himself to be...

Have you ever listen to one of his speeches? He's like the most conservative that you can get. Iran just released hostages because of Mr. Trump and he's not even in office yet. That's a year ahead of what Reagan did. Who is more conservative on immigration, the military, the veterans ( love our wounded warriors), trade, ISIS, etc?

There were a lot of conservative aspects to Romney but he was pro choice until just before running for national office as a republican.

I think socially he is a lot like Harry Reid.

RE: So much for NY values...
I don't know if this will gain any traction or not, but there is some muttering that Cruz was using the "New York values" phrase as a "dog-whistle"/code/whatever for Jews.

I could buy that if Trump himself was Jewish, or else had (or appeared to have) a disproportionate level of support from Jewish people, or else was viewed as any sort of expert on Israel, or other issues of particular concern to Jewish people. But none of these things are true (to say the least), so it will be curious to see how long the "Cruz being anti-Semitic" line can play.
