Basically like a genie but your wishes are only for universities to close.

My choices are:

1. Baylor
2. Liberty
3. Alabama (I'd want Birmingham to become the main campus)

You must not be a real Aggie fan if you didn't close Texas.

Do Penn State and West Virginia count as universities?

One of the few that want the rivalry to renew. 15-15 in my lifetime, hate that it's tied

I love that Brown U has no graduation requirements, so does Grinnell. I suspect a lot of school's will close down or merge in the next 20 or so years.

Eastern Michigan University
Area with a declining population.

Illinois State University
Close illinois state in Normal and move everything to Dekalb and make NIU the new undisputed #2 public school in the state.

Idaho
close the flagship that exists in the remote part of the state and move everything to Boise and make Boise st the new undisputed flagship of the state of Idaho.

I hadn't thought about Idaho, that's definitely a good one to consider.

Harvard, Princeton, and Yale. They tend to turn out a relatively high number of well educated crooks in corporate life and politics. I'd like to see what we could do without them. If we kept their science and research and math departments open and simply closed their business and law schools I think that might be the best option.

BTW: I know they aren't division I but what the hell. I can't think of three universities whose alums screw up our lives anymore than these three. Rich and spoiled is one thing. Rich, spoiled, connected and crooked is quite something else.

Yeah a real Aggy probably chooses Tech, Texas, and probably Tech a second time.

As a UH fan it's Texas, Notre Dame, and roll a 3 sided die for USC, Michigan, Ohio ST

RE: If you could close three division 1 universities, which would you close?
1) Louisiana Monroe. There has never been a point to this school with Louisiana Tech all but a few miles away. It's a school that brings down the Louisiana state system and makes Tech and ULL look worse.

2) Eastern Illinois. Directionals make sense when they represent a region. Eastern Illinois is not a region by any definition. Southern Ill. is very distinct down near St. Louis. Northern Ill. is a natural region incorporating Chicago. Even Western Ill. has definition centered around Iowa.

3) IUPUI. This college is a joke sharing a name between 2 B1G schools. Any conference containing them as a member is automatically small time.

The Ivy League is Division 1, but if you go talking about whose alumni screw up the most lives, the bammers will claim another national championship (and unlike most of their 56 football championships, this time it will even be true).
