No way is the big 12 going from 10 to 14. Lucky if you get them to agree on 2.

UConn used to average 38-40k playing the likes of rutgers, pitsburgh and syracuse in the OBE.
So playing the likes of Oklahoma,Texas and WV again along with whatever top 10 in the BIG12 is going drive tickets demand as proven when Michigan came to play an 0-2 UConn team in Hartford and Rentschler Field had to add 3k or so temporary seats.
I'm guessing you think everybody gets excited playing ECU?
Ucf used to regularly get 40k+ games before this last season. We got over 50k against Tulsa before.
Funny since UCF's stadium can't even hold 50k.

C'mon winning rarely is the reason for expansion. Rutgers and Maryland to the B10?

Less funny because it occurred in 2005, before UCF moved from the larger Citrus Bowl.

Or Pittsburgh and Syracuse to the ACC. let's face it, Pitt has been decent but Syracuse has been awful

Yes, cuz FB results are the #1 reason for expansion.

If we lose four schools then I hope we move to a coast to coast conference with members of the MWC, if we even have the remaining leverage to do so....
Say CSU, AFA, UNLV, SDSU, UNM, and dangle that in front of BYU.
Or maybe UH, Memphis, and ECU lead a group of ADs in creating a new coast to coast conference...
I am hoping the Big12 evaporates.

Think the only way Big 12 expands to 12 or even 14 teams is if they can ever get a deal for a conf tv network..which would include having to buyout and/or include Texas' LHN to this deal too.
Almost all P5 expansion has been tied to TV Revenue (and much of that is the new conf TV networks) but Big 12 has to figure out what it wants to do with their future TV Contracts in the future.

Correct...we went over 50k 2x. Then a long list of 40k plus.

Texas is the big hang up in the deal. As for the schools that would be considered, I think those are the 4. I personally think UCF/Cincy makes the most sense,(if only 2) though I understand any combo they wish to put out there.
With a conf network, I think all 4 make a lot of sense. Bring them in at reduced rates till next tv deal done. maybe 7 to 10 mil per year. The champ game alone would pay 6 to 7 of that. You gain tons of inventory for network, Tampa, Orlando, Cincy, and Uconn markets. and strong inroads to fla recruits.

Nothing says exciting like the extra revenue each B12 school would get if they add UConn and maybe Temple -- from a B12 TV network. It is the Northeast from Philly into NJ, NYC, and New England. Lots of cable boxes!
UConn vs Kansas bb twice a year.

Not really. The current B12 footprint is 40 million people. Adding those schools would ad 37.5 million people not including NYC.

Orlando is the most visited American city every year since 2009. College presidents want free vacations too.
