Article about ODU with Liberty mention
"ODU is way behind its mid-major competition in the football facilities arms race, which affects recruiting, the lifeblood of any program. The L.R. Hill Sports Complex was a fine FCS facility – and it became instantly obsolete when the Monarchs moved up.

ECU’s Murphy Center, an opulent, 54,000-square-foot facility, is light years ahead of what ODU can offer. Marshall and Appalachian State recently added indoor training facilities and other mid-majors, including Florida International, are building indoor facilities. Even Liberty University, an FCS school, is planning an indoor facility, which ODU has no plans to build."

Good find on the LU mention. With less than stellar facilities, safe money is the coaches had better win, and quickly or they'll be gone and a new staff will have the challenge to try to sell below par facilities to new recruits. Good luck ODU, you are going to need it. And if ODU lays another egg at App St this year, and App St is loaded even more so this year, it could be another long season for ODU.
