App State or Georgia Southern will win the SBC title this year. Texas State is on the rise.

You may remember him from films such as "The Sun Belt and the Top 25", "What is a Chanticleer?" and "The Red Wolves of Arkansas"

A-State recruits like no other FBS I know of ( their HC calls it funky recruiting), and they are constantly bringing in players that are not on the rankings every one focuses on in February.

As an example they added a couple of 3-star linemen for this class a couple of weeks ago who are now on their team, JC Lanard Bonner (6-5, 330lb), and Henderson State transfer Tyrell Reed (6-5, 332).

A quick look at their offer sheet tells you they are top-shelf G5 prospects, but are not on any rankings.

Lanard Bonner

Tyrell Reed

They are also enticing promising JC players to leave JC early before their recruiting really gets going, which further distorts their class rankings, but not their roster talent.

Lanard Boner is a great recruit. I can see Boner being a big name in the future. Boner will almost certainly be a name to remember.
Cheers!

As far as the bad loses by this staff in their first two years, their bosses, and fans seemed to have excepted the excuses the coaches gave (the coaches just prior to them did not stick around long enough to give excuses for their bad loses).

More importantly all parties understand that losing to any SBC team anywhere, anytime is unexceptionable, losing to any other G5, or middle-of-the-pack P5 at home is unexceptionable, losing to all but the very best G5's on the road is unexceptionable, and beating a high profile P5 program from time to time is expected going forward, as in 2016 on.

The expectation is to represent the P5 in their post season bowl game sooner rather than later. I am confident they will reach their goal, and while I expect 11-1, 12-0 is definitely doable for 2016, and they know it.

A-State is far and away the most talented team in the SBC this year, just like they were last year when they walked through the SBC. Not only do they return almost all their roster, and 2-deep, they added a lot high profile 3-4 star transfer's. That is why they had more players on the pre season all-sbc team, and when all is said and done should have the largest number in the post season, just like last year when they started 1-3.

Looks like their biggest problem is again coaching turnover where their "talent" landed three of their coaches on offense, including their OC, P5 gigs. Might take a couple of games but once their new coaches, and their talent get on the same page it will be off to the races, and no SBC team will (make that should) hang with them.

Seeing the scores of the other SBC teams in games against high profile programs reminds me of A-State under Coach Roberts. They would go out and beat a Texas A&M, or take a highly ranked team like Texas, or Iowa to the wire, their fans predict a cake walk to the championships, then fall flat on their face in the SBC.

As far as AppSt, and GaSo, sure i ride them but they are just my kind of people (as are the folks at ULL), and a I've said many times here among the biggest gets in realignment, and I would not swap them for any of the teams that bolted the SBC. Heck I would not swap them for all of them.

After reading this I can't feel bad for you.
