We will be playing in Dayton.

(I think) against the Michigan Wolverines of the Big10 in a play-in game. But that doesn't matter.

We will be putting up our 16th NCAA banner (along side our two NIT Championship banners) since the 1980's and the second for this great group of kids.

We (AAC) could have had 5 "in" with SMU, but I won't beat that dead "Pony" any more.

Since 1982, TU has been in the NCAA tournament 15 times now and the NIT (including two championships 1981 and 2001) 7 times. That is 22 post season appearances in that time span - 34 years. Also won the inaugural CBI tournament championship as well. So we seem to be ridiing the winning wave. But again, you gotta love this conference and our long time rivals Houston, Memphis, SMU etc.

Getting back into the Independence Bowl and now the NCAA tournament in the same year and in a new league has really been nice. We get a lot of respect nationally. Now on to spring football and folks we look really, really good.

It is nice that someone thinks we might win....most of the talking heads sure don't think so......but on the NCAA Tournament site they have us favored 51%-49%......well, at least they give us a chance. It all depends on which team shows up for us.....it could be a good game or like recent performances......we could be in for a long night!! Michigan should have a good crowd also!!
