I believe without a doubt if they ever did it once even for just the Xfinity series they would triple the 14k listed capacity for the dirt track for the next one they ran. I mean look at the Eldora truck race last night and it was on a Wednesday night.

As much as I agree with the premise of the law (even though I wouldn't have voted on it) Governors have lost their jobs for less.

So the national Republican party is in opposition with the NCGOP about LGBTs now?

In simplest terms I find people using the bathroom want to do just that. People wanting to use a locker room for showers and what not want to do just that. Any activity outside that limited scope of what they are for is a issue, but it is not solely a LGBT issue--hell, you could have heterosexual sex crimes too.

Probably correct. The law has been misrepresented but perception is reality so it made for a good excuse. The NBA is just hypocritical. I mean it didn't even mention the other 41 games to be held and still plays games in China. Hypocritical and asinine all at the same time.

That's a good word. Professional sports have no basis for lecturing anyone else on morality.

And I watch sports for entertainment, not for politics.

Charlotte will be better equipped to handle the game in 2019 anyway. We have several hotels that were going to miss their completion date, leaving us tight on quality hotel space in Uptown.

We'll have several other large developments completed by then that will infuse uptown with more dining and retail options as well. Light rail will also be more extensive at that point and the streetcar line that runs by the arena may also be expanded, so the infrastructure will be better too.

I hate that this has painted NC in a bad light, but it may turn out better for us to have the game in 2 years anyway.
