For all you hockey lovers out there, Liberty has some hockey news to go around.

Without being a hockey fan, the new conference looks pretty good and so does the schedule. There are lots of recognizable names which is exciting.

Good news. Let's move to NCAA hockey.

We lose some games against some of our traditional rivals but many of our rivals were already in the league. Not a huge hift for our DI squad. The D2 squad lost int he national championship game recently.

NCAA Hockey is still publicly remains a longterm goal. Not sure when the timing will be right

LU has 3 men's teams and 2 women's teams

Men's D1, D2, and D3
Women's D1 and D2

I assume if we added men's hockey we'd have to add at least one women's sport. I say go all in and add men's hockey and lacrosse.

We already have women's lax as an NCAA sport...

I should have clarified. I meant add men's hockey and lacrosse. Then add more women's sports to keep us in compliance. I knew the women played lacrosse already.

If we add men's hockey, it is a no brainer to add women's hockey. It keep Title IX compliance in line without significantly impacting costs. Equestrian remains locked & loaded for women if we ever get a chance in FBS.
