Some would say they also own the Miami Hurricanes football team, but I digress. 03-nutkick

The angle on them is WAAAAAY too flat and will be significantly hotter (less comfortable) than the upper level seats. I think that most people will opt for the upper deck seats where the viewing angle is significantly better and the area more comfortable. I think that's going to look really bad on television.

Also, these types of projects always go beyond the original timeline and over budget – always. I'm not sure what the surprise is here?

Finally, can someone explain to me why UM can't just play their home football games at Marlins Park until the stadium is ready? Why do they have to play all those games up in Orlando, which is nowhere near Miami?

Maybe they could play the Florida State game in the Citrus Bowl but play the rest of their home games at Marlins Park?

I see that they realized the bright Orange seats or even bright turquoise seats look terrible. Must not have been that hard to swap out twice. Too bad the Rooney's love bright yellow. 03-banghead

Very pretty stadium, and all of that panic about it not being ready has come to pass. That just goes to show, Miami can be on time for stuff occasionally! LOL!

I think the risk was always that there would be an early hurricane or something that would shut things down for a week or two. Glad it went well. Can't wait to see some game action from there.

The new digs are very cool, too bad it is still 397 miles from the school.

As awkward as it is to have to go a half an hour to get to your own football stadium (on a good day of traffic), it's certainly a fun experience. The student buses are always rocking and it is unique. Now that we will hopefully have a not-awful and not-boring team pretty much for the first time ever since we have played in this stadium, it will be even better.

The Miami metropolitan area includes Miami and nearby communities. The U.S. Office of Management and Budget designates the area as the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach, FL Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) used for statistical purposes by the United States Census Bureau and other entities. The OMB defines the MSA as comprising Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties—Florida's three most populous counties—with principal cities including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Boca Raton.

With 6,012,331 inhabitants as of 2015, the Miami metropolitan area is the most populous in Florida and second largest in the Southeastern United States behind Greater Washington and the eighth-most populous in the United States.
-- wiki

per mapquest, only 21 miles separate U & utopia ...
hard rock stadium sits smack dab in the middle of 3 populous counties ...
with undergrad enrollment around 10,000 ...
small, private U must rely on something greater than itself ...
