You guys are nuts and overanalyzing. App. State over Michigan was HUGE. So what if some similar happenstances have happened since then, at the time it was enormous and those who actually know anything about the game know it wasn't a major upset on the field itself. Michigan was overrated but not by that much, they won 9 games and beat Teebow's Florida in a bowl IIRC.

Another one would be one of the best college football rivalries in existence which very few people know anything about.

The Battle of the Ravine.
Henderson State vs. Ouachita Baptist. The two campuses of the two schools are separated by a road. By tradition, the visiting team dresses in their home stadium locker room and then walks across the road to the opposing stadium.

Out of 89 games, 40 were determined by 7 or fewer points. Henderson State leads 43-40-6, while there are many candidates for the craziest game in the series my favorite story is the 1949 meeting. Trailing 14-0 Ouachita cut it to 14-7 with seven minutes left, did an onside kick and recovered and scored, did another onside kick recovered and scored to take a 17-14 lead and then successfully recovered a third onside kick and ran out the clock.

That has nothing on the 5A Texas State title game between Tyler John Tyler and Plano East in 1994. THAT should have its own 30-for-30. Absolutely incredible.
