I go to target sparingly. I don't like the bathroom policy, but that isn't going to stop me from going on occasion when I need something and I'm close by. I have noticed the past couple times I've been that the store has much less traffic, and I'm there at what I assume would be a popular time (7-8 pm). Last week I was there around 8 and they only had one register open. It was mildly aggravating with about 6 people checking out and having to wait.

Probably haven't been in a Target more than half a dozen times in my life. Always thought they were terrible.

Most Home Depots around here are in the most inconvenient spots to get to. Lowes stores have their own building and parking lots. HD for some reason wants to park themselves in the far corner of a strip mall where parking sucks, especially when you need to load your vehicle up with longer items such as boards or pvc pipe.

Plus, all that orange is just hideous.

I had it with them over remodeling my kitchen. I made an appointment to come in and design my new kitchen with a budget of 12k for cabinets. When I got there no one knew about my reservation and no one could help me because the could not find anyone that knew how to work the computer software. I left...went to Lowes and got it all done in an hour without an appointment. Have not stepped back in a HD since.

Around my neck of the woods Lowes and Home Depot locations and pretty much across the street from each other so location isn't an issue. I've always been Lowes guy primarily because Lowes was in my hometown and not HD. Lately however I've had to leave Lowes and go to a HD because Lowes does not have what I need.

Lowes has higher prices but it sure is nice to go into that type of store that is always clean. It's closer to my house though and the only time I'll go to HD is when I know they have the same thing for less.

Another thing: If you buy a gift certificate from Lowes you can get $50 for $40. Automatic $10 off. Plus, if you use your Discover card you get instant money there too.
