Even possibly all four in the bracket finals to reach the final.
But before I bet on it, I need to see the odds.
I would love to play Rice one more time, especially if it was in the CWS.
That would be a bonkers game lol
I am telling ya, stranger things have happened. But the poetic justice of playing each other 8 times in a 4 week period would be insane.
Let's both advance to the super regionals first!

at least we now know we can outlast him....
that guy is a beast....
discipline at the plate is the key to batting against a fellow like that...once he gets full command of the pitch count by tossing a strike curves early, it's will be then he becomes a force in the majors....
he's one of those talents the purists want to follow and watch develop....his potential is a rare find....

I hope we get to face him again THIS YEAR as that means we'll both be in the World Series .....and I too agree he is a beast. I wonder how he would fare as a closer compared to a starter???

Don't see anything about whether he pitched at Grambling but it does look like that was his undergrad and he got his J.D at LSU. I believe he's a senior Vice President/CAO and general counsel at Parker Drilling.
Jon chose Rice over Yale.

Every Regional to be played in the Deep South.
Furthest North = Louisville KY
Furthest West = Lubbock TX.
Why does the rest of the country even bother playing the game?

This has long been an argument about the college baseball and its regional appeal at the Tech board. Unlike Football and Basketball, not everybody cares about Hockey, LaCrosse or Baseball.

Hard for me to put our national past time in the same category as LaCrosse and/or Hockey (which are basically the same sports). Every corner of the country plays baseball, where LaCrosse is little more than a glorified intramural sport and hockey is a Canadian import, like Labatt.

You and I think a lot a like, however....College Baseball is persona non grata north of Tenn. But when you start talking to a Big Ten or Big East fan about the Frozen Four, their shorts get tingly. I watch three to five Rangers or Astros(Got to be really bored) games a week, but couldn't tell you who won last years Stanley Cup!
