yes, and the story about the St Jude kid who died waiting for a heart transplant at a cancer hospital is still completely made up...

Even if the facts are wrong, the narrative is correct. These stoppages could result in the death of those who need critical emergency care. BLM blatantly has a disregard for those of us who are in the least position to defend ourselves - the infirmed.

The facts werent wrong.

What was reported both on this site and on the local news was that a child was blocked form getting to the hospital.

Snopes, with the liberal slant, said the story was false because the child did not die.

Nobody said the child died. Snopes injected a false narrative to claim the story was false.

And butthurt Oof M keeps clinging to that sa a justification that BLM did no wrong.

clearly they didn't, they had police protection, and the Police Dir marched with them...

kids fine...take the other bridge.

gay couples are fine, they can find another clerk to issue them a license. Oh wait, no, thats the definition of life and death.

and by rescued you mean they took the other bridge? I rescued myself a while back...saw the bridge was backed up, took the old bridge...it was touch and go for awhile, but I pulled though, somehow.

Report said it took them 25 mins out of the way to go around. You obviously don't have children or sick loved ones and dgaf about families that do.

goodness, I guess I should shed a tear every time that bridge backs up (which happens ALL the time)

all those dead babies...even with no protesters it can take an hour to cross in bad traffic...all that death.

False comparison. Normal traffic patterns are out of our control. This protest CHOSE to obstruct traffic.

they had to call an ambulance to be escorted by Crittenten County Police up the wrong side of the interstate to transport the child back to the I-40 / I-55 split so they could go across the old bridge.

Exactly. It was major effort in order to avoid the damage done by a movement that thinks that the sick and infirmed should not get the treatment they need.

The issue was that someone reported it on Twitter and it blew up like the Eiffel Tower is on fire last night story. That is what snopes was saying was false. There is no entry on snopes about the sick kid that is referenced in the OP.

Just ignore UofMemphis, hes doesnt understand the situation, as hes never been in a situation where your rushing your infant to the hospital.

Honestly, hes a bit immature and isn't really worth the discussion.

It's also Bull Shaq...

It might be 15 to 20 if you know in advance you're going on the other bridge but once you hit the traffic then you are screwed. The exits are not designed to take an entire freeway's worth of traffic and flow well. If I'm on I35 (a far bigger road) and the road closes for an accident it's usually a minimum 30 minutes or so just to get off the highway unless you're lucky enough to be right at an exit.

Now add that 30 minutes to however much time is needed to get to the alternate highway and then to where you are going and you're talking maybe an hour or so.

And once you're past that last exit you are screwed until whatever is stopping the road clears up, as was the case with this family. They were *on* the bridge which means the never had an opportunity to take an alternate route.

But muh snopes...
