Cincinnati is more of a "flagship" than half of the so called flagships in the country.
By both state-funding and support you'd be correct...but by name you are not. If we were Ohio Polytechnical Institute (ie Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, etc.) we would've been in a power conference years ago.
Using "flagship" as a defining term for the University of New Mexico is an affront to the word. I'd rather be a support cruiser in the US Navy than the flagship of the Serbian Navy...
