A long time to go until National Signing Day but...
As of today (8/12/16), the Terps have the #17 class per 2017 Football Recruiting Composite Team Rankings (247). DJ Durkin is putting in some serious work and trying to build up this program. After last years 3-9 season, the Terps have quite a bit to prove and to some extent the upcoming season will have an impact on the recruits that actually sign on NSD. I truly hope that DJ Durkin is as good as a coach as he is a recruiter. I guess that is what we get to find out when the season starts in just a few more days. Ahhh…the unbridled optimism of the season. 02-13-banana

Kaindoh switching to FSU hurts but we still have a great class if we can hold it. I haven't been this excited about UMD football's future since Ralph's first season as HC. Worried about the loss of coach London a bit but with everything going on at College Park right now we should still be headed upward.

Have to admit that I'm very bias when it comes to DeMatha, but we got another one!!! Seems like a complete night and day difference between DJ Durkin's staff and Edsall's staff thankfully. If we can hold on to our DL commits that appear to have wondering eyes since London took the HC job at Howard this is gonna be an amazing class even if we don't get commits from the last few targets we have. Also can't state how important coach Aazaar is, UMD must do as much as they can to keep him.

Yeah, McFarland committing to the Terps was awesome (and surprising to me at lease). If we can get TCF, which it sounds like could happen, that'd be the cherry on top. Gaddy brothers probably flipping to Florida but they were a surprise commit to the Terps anyway. Now, just try to hold on to everyone and await National Signing Day! This has the potential to be a HISTORIC class for the Terps.
