NC A@T Observations
No contest. 48-0 at half and 58-21 final. Lots of kids got to play. Sparse crowd.

Why was this game against this team scheduled? The scheduler needs to do better next time.

On another note, with the huge win by Ohio St over the Sooners last night (45-24), I doubt anyone will hold our getting beat in Columbus against us now. I think there is a very good chance Ohio St will be a final four team. With two losses, OU is down for the count.

San jose St also played very well against Utah last night in San Jose. Utah is a very good Pac12 program and had finished as a ranked team at the end of the season the last two years. So when all is said and done, we look pretty good at this point. With the developement of our defense, we are going to be a feared team to play this year in the AAC.

Next up is our old nemesis, Fresno St in Fresno. They got trounced by Toledo on the road yesterday. But anytime we play in Fresno, I get the jitters.

RE: NC A@T Observations
Was a good outing for the defense in the game. Yes scheduling A&T is a head scratcher. Took a little bit before the offense seemed to really get rolling. After that there was no stopping them. The defense really seemed to get the scoring started though. The crowd was very sparse and I don't see it getting much better when conference play starts. The rivals forum by some seems to feel part or even a major part of the reason for the sparse crowds, is the Tulsa marketing is focused almost solely on alumni. Non-alumni almost completely left out the Hurricane marketing plans. From I have seen of the crowds at the games I have to agree. In the last several years the walk-up ticket buyers have decreased year by year. Five years ago the Hurricane easily used to get 16,000-18,000 at a game. Actual butts in the seats too. Now no! Five to ten years ago the community marketing outreach to non-alumni ticket buyers was huge compared to what it is now. The Hurricane program is fading rapidly from the minds of Non-alumni ticket buyers who live in the Tulsa area.
