LU flexing it's financial muscle would likely cause more school to resist their support than endorse it. If there are rumblings of expansion, LU should continue to be overt their desire and have others tell LU what it would take to join rather than be zealous with generous offers that could cause concern for member schools.

RE: FBS talk
It makes for an ironic double standard when New Mexico State offers cash to the Sun Belt as a "travel subsidy" then it is so generous of them but when Liberty makes a cash offering it's a slap in the face as Liberty flaunts their dough around. Those are the breaks though and you can't make others invite you to their club.

I heard the deal was free Chick-fil-A for a year, the purchase and upkeep of live mascots for three years, and free Snowplex passes for each member of the new conference.

Is a new WAC conference going to be announced? I hear stuff about Idaho trying to make this happen so they don't have to go back to FCS. Maybe Jerry is thinking about LU joining that conference.

That report that came out this week... State of the Commonweath, I think... still saying LU has a shot at FBS in the very near future, and it will be as an independent.
