Bernie Sanders doesn’t want to be president, but he could snatch three electoral votes in Vermont.

Vermont is one of seven states that allow voters to write in anyone for president, even if they have no intention of running for office.

To the 33,000 people who wrote in Bernie's name in Wisconsin, I hope you have a good life under a Trump administration.

??

They listed down to 1,500 votes. Why wouldn't they list the person who came in 4th?

The majority of states, 34, also allow write-in votes, but the candidate must complete paperwork to have votes counted.

so if they weren't counted, how do you know how many there were? I'd like to see a link to the story and some evidence that the number is credible, and not an explanation as to how it could possibly have potentially maybe happened

Not that I really want you to go to that much effort for it.... because it really doesn't matter. He won without the state.

I actually find it prophetic....

Bill Clinton likely only won the election in 1992 because Ross Perot took 20mm votes. GHWB only lost by about 1/4 that amount.

More than 18,000 Vermonters cast presidential votes for Bernie Sanders, despite his insistent appeals for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

The total of Sanders write-in votes — 18,183, or about 5.7 percent of Vermont's presidential votes — is greater than the combined tallies for third-party candidates Gary Johnson and Jill Stein, according to official results.

is it farfetched to extrapolate that bernie would've garnered twice the tally from a state 10 times the size of vermont ...
not to toot my own horn ...
but I called it before it happened ...

SELF-FULFILLING PROPHECY

well yes... since he is the Senator from Vermont.

The guy from Utah got about 10 times the number of votes in Utah as he did everywhere else in the country combined.

Far-fetched might be an over-statement that I didn't make, but you said it was 33,000. Could it also have been only 25,000? Is THAT far-fetched?

The points are
1) I'm not sure I buy it barring some proof however
2) I wouldn't care if it were true because that's how the game is played and
3) Hillary only rose to the position she did because her husband benefitted from the same thing on steroids in 1992.
