Sorry man. I know we don't have any gay bars in Jonesboro. I know that impacts your lifestyle when you are here.
Sweet burn.
Jonesboro didn't have any bars at all until a few years ago, give it time.

The only thing I remember driving to Jonesboro was what looked to be cotton fields and miles of nothing.....like something from a horror movie

I felt like I was in a continuous truck stop. A light version of West Memphis.

The first Time we went to Jonesboro we took the road that parallels I-30 and like wkuhilltopperfan it was very strange driving ...
felt like the twilight zone and being in a parallel world. Nothing but you and cotton field and a house every few miles...but in the distant you see the world moving about.
The 2nd time we went through Missouri on the way home...nothing but darkness then you see a light up ahead. I was fully expecting to see Captain Spaulding's truck stop (captain spaulding museum of monsters and madmen) when we got to it...
We have drove over 150,000 miles following Western basketball and football over the past 3.5 years and a few extra trips to PCB and Ft Lauderdale mixed in. Going to and from Jonesboro is the worse.
Hell I don't even like their stadium..feels like you are sitting in a hole dug into the middle of a field...cold damp air from those fields surrounding it drops down on you in a night game. Basketball area needs to be upgraded..lights are awful and seating is just about as bad as the lights. 95% of host schools gives the visiting team seats either right behind the team or in the corner close to the team. At least for team passes. ASU puts visitors under the basket but 50 rows up...maybe 30. Couldn't see crap and they had 2,000 fans there. They have ushers that refuse to let you move down or even go talk to someone sitting in another section. It was so bad that I bought two $30 tickets and moved to one of the 200 or so empty seats behind Western's bench and did not even use my passes that got me in free. AWFUL place to watch a basketball game

You know you talk like we should make you comfortable.....hmmmm nahhh. Before you go all high brow I have been to Memphis and MTSU that had seats that was not good and nowhere close to our team. Troy was not close to the team but there isn't a bad seat in the house. Been to Mobile but not to a USA games. Never been to WKU. Y'all ran off before I had the chance. I am sure you would have rolled out the red carpet.

as a reference, I visited rice in '12 (that year they were good and we sucked the schlong)....I sat at the 50, 20 rows up, stretched out, and enjoyed a beautiful day until the game started ....hell, that's what I miss most about playing wholame or MEM....
I'm guessing it can work that way at any road game these days against the teams we all currently play...sellouts almost never happen at any school these days unless it's a big boy rivalry....
for some enigmatic reason, most feel an affinity to group up in horrible seating on the road.....
I just tell 'em to have fun and take my handful somewhere else....it's fun roaming the visitors stadium when you keep it civil....I had too much fun at Ruston last year!
just ask Pilot2000....he'll fill ya in....
