Follow-up to my own post, NOW all the talk going around here is that UK is gonna get bumped up to a better bowl than most expected - the TaxSlayer/Gator Bowl. We are hearing that Belk and Music City are still in the picture, but sounds like the TaxSlayer folks came away very impressed with UK and our fans, and had previously been leaning toward an unnamed SEC West team but now may take on UK, and if that happens, the Belk and Music City will probably split UGa and Tennessee, while the aforementioned unnamed SEC West team would probably wind up in the Liberty. That makes me think Arkansas was the team, because it seems quite unlikely that LSU or Auburn are falling there, and Texas A&M seems earmarked for the Texas Bowl from many indications. We'll see! It's certainly a fun time for this speculation, I would personally be very pleased to see UK make the TaxSlayer Bowl.

Thanks brother, it's been a very long wait, especially for the ones who have suffered through all those football seasons, and didn't just use it as passing time before basketball season started haha. That said, that's off to a pretty good start for both our teams this year as well!

Hearing through the grapevine that the Belk Bowl is down to Arkansas and SC. Concerned about SC's finish to the season and buying hotels, etc. Obviously we would put more buts in seats though.

If not, Birmingham wants us.

I do not want Belk or Liberty bowls. Hell, I'll take the Shreveport bowl.

RE: Bowl Game Projections (updated 11/26)
Well crap, we get our punishment for a crappy November with a bowl game half an hour from campus in a city that a) most of our fans already live in and b) offers nothing for the out of town folks and against yet another B12 team in a replay of an old conference game we never cared about.

Houston Bowl is about to find out what a mistake they made thinking they'd get good ratings and attendance for this matchup just by picking us.

Nobody I know is excited about this game or has plans to watch or attend

Auburn vs Oklahoma in the Sugar.

If Pettway, White and KJ are 100% i like our chances.

If not, we better hold them to 0 lol.

Oklahoma doesn't do well with teams that actually play defense. Ya'll gonna be fine.

I hope so, two run-heavy teams though we def go about it in different ways. if Johnson has half as good a game passing as he did versus UofL I really like our odds.

I've heard people say Bama might be the only favorite of any of our teams in these games. well and I'd guess MSU too. but I dunno, maybe I'm a homer but I like a lot of our teams' chances, like the aforementioned Auburn vs OU. as always this time of year, a lot depends on motivation. for instance, UK, USC and Vandy are coming in on upswings, and excited to be here, Auburn and LSU still have lots of positive momentum, but I can see why say UT or TAMU could be disappointed in where they wound up, though they certainly have the talent advantage in their games, imo, will that show?

I'd expect Georgia to be favored over TCU...the only bowl team TCU beat all season was Baylor (who is only in a bowl because of their ridiculously weak OCC schedule). Kenny Hill has been pretty much what he was at A&M, streaky at best and an absolute turnover machine at worse.

Of course with this much time off you never really know what you are going to get from any team.

Oklahoma has to beat you in a shootout, if Auburn can keep up they have a good chance to win. Auburn has the defensive advantage while Oklahoma has the offensive advantage, that makes for a compelling matchup.

Cards fans still have nightmares about what Chubb did to our defense in the bowl game a couple years ago, LSU has 2 RB better than him. If we can keep them contained & get back to early season form then I would like our chances. We'll see how it goes. I'm excited for our first ever meeting with the Tigers.

The only time that I will likely root against an ACC team is in the Taxslayer Bowl. GT is a rough matchup for anyone front 7 with all the chop blocks. They're a tough team to figure out because they aren't consistent. I didn't expect them to beat Georgia. The Cats should have the talent advantage. If they play at the level they did against the Cards then they should win by a couple TD's. Expect a grind it out kind of game. I don't see Tech taking to many deep shots down field which is good for the Cats. Since we play at the same time I'll try to catch the replay on the SECN. Let's have fun in Florida & show everyone what Bluegrass football is all about.

It has nothing to do with Oklahoma.

Auburn will win if Auburn is healthy. We were putting up 30-40+ points on way better defensive teams than Oklahoma and our defense will be the best they have seen all season.

This comes down to our health.

The best I can example I could use for you is imagine if Louisville didn't play Lamar Jackson against 2 top opponents, and then he was injured the last 4 games of the season. Along with a couple of other key players.

That's why I say, I hope we're healthy.

I'm pretty sure Ohio State has a better defense than Auburn...but we saw what they did to Oklahoma.

The best two defenses (especially d-lines) OU played were probably Ohio State and Houston and they lost them both. Certainly I'd like to see OU win for the sake of the Big 12...but Mayfield is a tool and I'd kinda like to see him have a terrible game.

That could be true. I was more referring to the Front 7 which is what most of the "experts" are talking about. Overall defense I would say is 100% in Ohio States favor.

As I said though, if we're not healthy I don't see us winning. If we are i'll go on record saying we win 100%.
