That's your fantasy -- didn't happen in the slightest when I was there. I gues Mpls runs a top notch shop.

Why F around with mail in?? You'll fill something out wrong and it won't get counted. You'll mess something up.

If you're physically able, don't do a mail in. Go to an early voting center. Much nicer and guarantee your vote will count!

Avoid the Election Day lines!

Doesn't even make sense. You have time to think about, go over, double check yourself at home vs being in a hurry at the polling place. Odds are far higher doing something wrong at the station.

I've yet to see an actual argument against them.

A few arguments in this very thread. You not paying attention again.

RE: Early voting centers
A few reasons for early in person voting.

1. Lots of people can't get off of work to vote on election day.
2. Large turnout results in long lines on election day.
3. If there is a long line during early voting you can always come back at another time.
4. If you have children at daycare and you have to pick your children up by a certain time or pay an extra fee you can vote early and avoid that issue.
5. If you work out of town or are required to work OT on election day you can come in and vote at another time.

More posts I see the more in convinced that it's just a paid agent provocateur. Probably assigned 20 websites a day with post minimums. Today's push from the top must have been to nudge people to vote early..an early vote is in the bank.

Rath,

Elections cost people money. Since it's correct to budget for EVCs, then it's just built in as part of the budget. The fewer poorly filled in mail-in ballots that have to be processed, the more money it saves.

Paul #21,

What hurry? EVCs take care of that. If you're worried about hurry, then you must be concerned with how busy election day voting centers!!

Double check yourself? Obviously more people aren't doing that, otherwise we wouldn't have incorrectly filled mail-in ballots that get discarded for not following correct instructions. Don't have to worry about that with EVCs.

Paul #22,

So far there have been none.

Switching would be, you know, switching. As in switching from one to the other.

Not voting for either no matter how hard you try spinning it isn't switching from one to the other.

Utilizing the write in option would indeed be switching your vote. 07-coffee3

Some people work jobs that make voting difficult. Some people prefer to avoid long lines on voting day to get back to work.

Why do you care who votes early? Wishing a small turnout?

Everyone in every state can vote early without added expense. Absentee. It's not a new idea.

My wife and I are voting early too. We want to beat the rush. As I know that there's no way in God's earth that I will vote for crooked Killary. Our minds are made up and no Killary supporter will make us change our mind about voting early.

By the way, why are Clingon supporters against us voting early? Are they askkkeeeered of sump'in?

Paul #27,

I addressed and defeated each of your points. Waiting for your response.

HoD #28,

Again using the "proclamation without argument" post format. I thereby rule your post invalid, until you actually try.

rath #35,

EVCs are cheaper than making people sit there for hundreds of hours trying to decipher poorly filled out mail-in ballots.

You are lucky. The gauntlet is there every day here. They all wanted to talk to me or give me material on the way in, but they didn't have any interest in my on the way out.04-cheers
