She continued: “Despite the darkness of the times, the difficulties, I remain hopeful that I will see that light. … And I believe we still will see, in our lifetimes, a female president of the United States.”

Brazile, a former CNN contributor, offered her resignation in October, and the network accepted, saying it was “completely uncomfortable” with the hacked emails.

The allegations surfaced after stolen emails published by WikiLeaks showed the Clinton campaign receiving debate questions from Brazile, before the CNN-hosted events during the Democratic primary contest.

“CNN never gave Brazile access to any questions, prep material, attendee list, background information or meetings in advance of a town hall or debate,” a CNN spokeswoman insisted at the time.

Brazile’s contract with the cable network had been suspended since she accepted the interim leadership position at the DNC.

She's parsing the word "gave." And I'm sure that's technically true - no one "gave" her anything, she just took it.

Why does everyone refer to her as "Donna"? Like she's your damned next door neighbor or something. She is Brazile, yet another in a long line of Democratic partisan hacks that got caught doing something unethical. To call her by her first name somehow humanizes her and her actions over the cadre of previous partisan hacks that have performed similar abuses of position.
