You shouldn't be attacking Army, they likely just received their notice from WF & would need time to investigate the matter on their end themselves. The same with any other schools involved.
Actually, I believe the Academy values honor and sportsmanship, despite what some of their fans think about them. I fully expect them to repudiate those fans.
Does anyone else find it a bit ironic that the way WF found out about the leaked plays was studying a so-called "found" UL defensive playbook? Why isn't it unethical that WF changed their game plan based on this pilfered information without notifying UL that they had a copy of their defensive plans? Other than the UL defense for the WF "secret plays", what else did WF learn from UL's playbook? How did a lousy team almost beat a much better team on its home field that was favored by 35 pts? I'll be anxiously awaiting an independent investigation of this whole mess because there are far too many open questions that WF's "investigation" has failed to address. As far as the information made public so far, it appears that there are dirty hands on both teams. But, WF likely gained useful information on UL's entire defensive game plan while UL gained nothing since the "secret plays" were never used by WF.
Where did you hear a story about Wake studying a UL playbook? I've not seen that reported anywhere.
For what it is worth, that was the story that went around locally when this first came out. It is the reason most Louisville fans were fairly militant about the accusation, because as has been widely circulated, Wake found the information because they found Louisville's playbook. Remember this story first came locally out a few days before ESPN made it a national story. Note by all accounts, they didn't find their own plays on cards, or anything like that. All reports specifically say they found plays that lead them to realize they had a security breach. What is never really stated or made more clear in most reports, is what they actually found were
Louisville's defensive plays. They didn't find their own plays, they found defensive schemes designed specifically for those plays. From there they knew they had a breach. But what is unsaid is not only did they actually have the Louisville plays, but they studied them enough to know what they were for. That much is known fact. What's a matter of speculation, is what other information they had.
I would not be one to categorize stealing your own stuff back as stealing. Louisville was careless, and they took advantage. No harm no foul (that is no different that stealing signals). This is not to excuse Louisville, because while media guy was selling them out, they had an expectation of privacy regarding those plays. So that is worse IMO to use the leaked info. However it is quite laughable for them to then cry wolf about the leak, when they themselves were using stolen info that we know, and possibly had more info even (speculation not confirmed). But THAT is what makes Wake look bad.
Even worse, it later came out that I think a week or two before, one of the Wake defensive staffers actually called a Louisville coach to get tips on another common opponents defensive signals. Again nothing illegal about that, but it is just a bad look to cry foul over that considering their own actions. Just ridiculous all around.
