It's stuff like this where the transfer rules or payment of players really needs to happen for those who get caught up when coaches pull this, and hide behind lies/their agent to tackle the dirty work while dealing with kids who are essentially stuck at these places and aren't so free to go as others around them are.

Please, Herman cleaned up the mess Levine left and brought it back to where Sumlin left off. If he can do that here, he can certainly do so at Texas.

For once I think David may be on to something.

Herman has done a great job at Houston but winning at Houston and winning at Texas are two different things. Hell, you could make a solid argument that the job is only vaguely similar given the outside involvement one has to deal with at Texas.

A while back people were talking about how Texas was in the shape it is because of Texas. I don't see any indication that any of that has changed.

Then again, they could win a N.C. within three years.

It's going to be interesting to watch it unfold. I happen to think that Herman, and the school as a whole, is going to need to do a lot more than simply show up and be a motivator.

In terms of sheer support, it should be Alabama and Texas every year.

I wonder if Austin supplies too many "distractions" to players?? Girls, drugs, booze, parties, whatever.

what I think is going to be happen is Texas is going to get back at a level similar to what they were in the '00s and those Big 12 schools who were scared of Houston getting in the Big 12 will face a much scarier thing- and that's Texas at a high level.
