Tbh, i get frustrated when our beat writer puts out stats for WKU that make the team look really good, counting right up until the best streak before a loss. It's definitely biased and pointless information. The only fair way to judge is per season. But hey 30-10 for 3 seasons ain't bad

Similar to Southern Miss' 22–3 start to C-USA play back in the day. Only C-USA was a much stronger league then than now.

The conference was jokingly called C-USM back then.

Yeah, WKU has more conference titles than conference loses over the last 2 seasons.

Impressive, genuinely. But will the new hire be able to keep that up. We'll see.

In fairness to the OP, I wouldn't call it an arbitrary at all. Long periods of winning offset by one loss somewhere in the middle are thrown around pretty frequently, the NFL team that that starts out 2-3 and then wins eight of the next nine, the boxer that started out 10-0 lost a fight than won another six straight would be described as having won sixteen of his last seventeen.

Wow, reading up a little on your football history. You had a 26 game losing steak just a few years ago. Even after doing pretty good a few years ago you weren't invited to a bowl game, then the next year you were but you lost...man did you guys have some tough tough years, holy ****. Maybe that scared the fans away.

Do you think if you improved your football facilities your attendance would go up?


The coach that just left you guys for a bottom feeding team in Purdue was getting you guys great players and wins. Hopefully you get someone to replace him soon and that is very good.

Only item we need we don't have is IPF, which would be nice to have.....Other facilities have to be top 3 in this conference and Petrino said we had nicer facilities then when he was at Arkansas, so our facilities are definitely on par with this conference......So called bottom feeder team is playing Brohm 3.5 million a year, do you think any CUSA team could compete with that kind of money? SHort answer is no.......

We lost upon infancy of FBS, This season marked our 6th straight winning season, that losing streak is long gone, the wins have been there...Bottom line concerning attendance is we have only about 15k hardcore fans that are there for WKU only. The other 7k we have will not come to games if nothing is going on (family weekend, Homecoming, etc.) They will not be there unless we play a "name" opponent like Vanderbilt....So somehow we need to grow our hardcore fan base who only likes Western, hard to do if you spend anytime in BG. Walmart UK fans and especially basketball fans are everywhere and its hard for WKU to get the attention they deserve...Also BG could do a better job working with WKU to make football an even bigger event then it is now but not scheduling a thousand things like Christmas parades when you know when the CUSA title game is scheduled is not ideal...
