The problem is when you have an angry electorate, who doesn't know why they're angry but want to do something about it, then you have a guy who manipulates that angry electorate into voting for him, and he then gives the guy with the fringe opinion the keys to the castle, because it seems "cute".

I think you're quibbling over semantics. The Fed either makes money come into existence out of thin air on a digital balance sheet or they tell the Mint to manufacture more Federal Reserve Notes. What do you think "quantitative easing" is? It's creating more currency out of thin air, thus devaluing all the currency in circulation, artificially crushing interest rates, and robbing from those saving or on fixed income to the benefit of government and banks.

When it comes to the economy ... they're more powerful than THE PRESIDENT.

That, to me, is way crazier than the Gold Standard.

And then there are the 99.9% rest of us who accept some level of control over our lives, and expect it. There are even some of us who are grateful for it.

In other words...You enjoy being a slave...as long as the plantation is comfortable.

Some of us understand that getting to vote for our masters...makes us no less slaves. We at least understand this axiom. That is why we have distrust of ALL those in power. We don't blindly accept them as being anything to worship or even like. We understand principle of non aggression the inherent evil of the use of governmental force. We may tolerate it..but..we hold it in contempt always.
