Well deserved.

And in fact overdue.

Beat the unsanitary livestock at VCU, and let's hope that unofficial ranking works its way up to an official top-25 mark.

RE: MT getting votes in the AP poll
St Mary's got dog spanked by UT Arlington for their first loss and only went from 12 to 20. I have a hard time believing that team is immensely better than MT at this point, but I'm not surprised we still haven't cracked the top 25. Not surprised at all.

FWIW, we also got 3 points in the coaches.

As far as I am concerned, the way MTSU is playing, they deserve to be in the top 25 right now. As much as it pains me to say this, the Blue Raiders are the class of the conference regarding Basketball right now.

None of it matters if we lose either game this week (at Belmont and at VCU).

Yes, we need to come out and run over both of these teams. We should have a great travelling crowd at Belmont since it is just a half hour away. We got our tickets last week for the Belmont game. I have family friends who are going to the VCU game sitting behind the Raider bench, very excited to see that one too.

Not to be Negative Nancy (because I really hope MT breaks into the Top 25 next Monday) but Belmont and Rick Byrd have been our Kryptonite for many years, and VCU "ain't" small potatoes at their place. We got some heavy lifting to do. Prayin' for 2-0 expecting 1-1 by the end of the week.

1-1 is easily acceptable

2-0 is a bonus

0-2??? the cusa curse remains intact....

I would be shocked if we lose to Belmont. They lost to Vandy by 14 and beat Lipscomb, who is terrible, twice by two points and the last time it was in overtime. We might have as many fans as they do on Wednesday in their own arena. VCU will be the tough out though I wasn't impressed in the VCU-ODU game.

Hope you are right about Belmont. They are apparently not as good as they have been over the last two years and word on the street is we are buying a lot of tickets for an "away" game. Didn't see the VCU/ODU clash but hope you're right about them too.

VCU will be a different animal at their place rather than on the road, but they aren't what they were a few seasons ago. MTSU can beat them. Don't know about Belmont, but I'm rooting hard for you guys to go 2-0 and crack the rankings. CUSA needs some good news.

So WKU is now a football school and MT is now a bball school?

Guess anything is possible anymore in sports. Cubs, Army over Navy, Cavs comeback in the NBA finals last year, Titans are looking good....

Well we were in the postseason in both sports last year and are off to a good start towards repeating that accomplishment this year, but sure...we're a basketball school.
