He is one hell of a class guy. I would make him our AD in about three seconds.

I would have no problem with it. The only time USM would have an opportunity to have him in that AD job would be now. He would do more for our athletic program working as hard as he would compared to an established person in an AD or Assistant AD job right now. He would have to learn on the job, but man would he be a force before long. He and our softball coach in my opinion are the only strengths in our athletic programs right now.

Very effective move for schedule negotiations.

He is the interim AD and is not in consideration for the AD permanent position.

Make him your drain the swamp candidate. A high energy, highly motivated person that is not saddled by decades of "that's just how things are done" could be a game changer.
