J. Geils Found Dead

Some of the early J. Geils bands songs were pretty good too (Must Have Got Lost, Love Stinks, Come Back). Although to be honest I never knew that was actually a guy named J. Geils - I only knew the name of their lead singer (Peter Wolf).

David Letterman's mom passed away (Dorothy Mengering). She was 95.

Emma Morano from Italy, the world's oldest verified living person (117 years old) and the last person alive who was born in the 19th century, died yesterday. She was born in November, 1899. It always sucks when the last person born in a certain historical context dies. I recall growing up when the last person alive during the Civil War passed away. It should be 15-18 years minimum from now before we lose the last one, but there probably will be a dwindling number of people who were alive during World War I (they would be anywhere from 98 to 102 currently).
