Or a sign that you actually have moved on beyond depending on others for survival.

I actually have a lot of hope for them. Kids born today are going to live in a world I cant really now understand. The inevitable innovations and discoveries that will shape their world will be incredible. I envy them actually.

When talking about *an entire* generation you have to generalize. Otherwise we need to have 75,400,000 conversations. One for each and every American millennial.
I'm aware of that...but not everyone fits the generalization. It's basically like another version of identity politics.
"Not all Muslims" too, right?
There's zero value in those little nit picks when talking about broader trends, issues, problems, etc. Other than just saying "Okay.", I don't even know what else to say to that.

Weren't most of you Gen Xers raised by Boomers?
I was raised by Boomers, but a lot of my peers were raised by parents from the so-called "Silent Generation" (born from the 20s to the early 40s). Not to mention, our grandparents, aunts and uncles from "The Greatest Generation" as Tom Brokaw refers to; played a heavy hand in our upbringing as well.
You are generalizing a lot of generations.
I think you are trying to insult people.

I think my biggest problem is that a generation of bleeding hearts did their best to give away the birthright of an entire generation to line their pockets and assuage their own internalized guilt.

I am a car guy and it seems pretty likely that my three year old may never need to actually operate a vehicle because autonomous cars will be ubiqutious.
How's that for a mindfvck?
