Jack has retweeted other posts of the Goodman tweet, so, legit.
We all easily forget how hard four academic years at W&M are, and most of us couldn't wait to be done with that gauntlet. If there is no W&M grad program in line with Jack's plans, then, when basketball is put into perspective, it is easier to understand why a hard decision would be made to move on. Certainly don't think there is any incentive that odds would be in our favor for next year's team to be the one that breaks down the door. Wouldn't be surprised if it was discussed with the staff well back, and left for Jack to make the final decision after the season was over.
Both Jack and Mike have been anomalies as redshirt players for W&M basketball. Both took redshirts due to injuries. As more common as it may be to redshirt elsewhere for development reasons, after Paul Rowley, I doubt we will ever see it at W&M except when there is a medical issue, or a transfer requirement. Would bet odds are very high that next season is Paul's last in a Tribe uniform. Hopefully, like Cohn, we'll see Milon for a full three years.
These are all bright, young men that make well thought out decisions, no doubt with full support from Tony and staff. Just hard for us alum fans to let them leave the nest.
I still think Jack's two handed monster slam over Gustys last month was the most tittilating play I've seen in all my years coming to the Hall, based on the surprise factor alone. I was really looking forward to seeing him take his play, more often next year, to the level of that couple minute stretch he had in that game. He'll be missed. He'll be missed especially by Nathan Knight, by not being able to push each other in practice, and the off season. Not good for Nathan.
