So barring a major miracle in the Big Ten Tournament, looks like the NCAAs are out for the first time in a long time. Damn it. But here's the big question. If they lose in the first round of the Big Ten will they even make the NIT? It would be a VERY sad day for Indiana basketball if the boys failed to make any tournament at all.

Never thought I'd say this but where's Tom Coverdale when you need him? At least he had major heart.

You must have a .500 or better record to play in the NIT. So both Indiana and Ohio State need to win 2 conference tournament games to make the NIT which would include a win over Illinois.

Yep, Stu's right. You have to finish with at least a .500 record to be eligible. If I heard it right, Indiana has been to the postseason every year since 1970. That's an incredible streak, but it'll probably come to an end this year.

So much for that idea. Indiana's season is over after losing to Illinois. :frown:
