With 1 matchday fixture to go in the 2. Bundesliga, the two automatic promoted sides are old friends VfB Stuttgart and Hannover 96. TSV Eintracht Braunschweig currently places in 3rd, 3 points behind the potential promoted sides.

I'd hate to see Thomas Tuchel go; I think he did a fantastic job this year considering the roster.

I don't follow Dortmund that closely, but I was under the impression that Tuechel's job was safe. Or are you saying he's likely to seek out greener pastures outside of Germany? If it's the latter, I'd say he'd be making a mistake leaving Dortmund.

There was some serious fallout after the bombing in April. By all accounts, Tuchel and the players didn't want to schedule the rematch so soon after the attack. Watzke, the CEO of Borussia Dortmund scheduled it anyway. He later gave an interview (after the Pokal victory vs Bayern) that somewhat threw Tuchel under the bus as difficult to work with. The German press ran with it. There will be contract talks after the Pokal finale, but it looks as of now that Tuchel will be let go. Rumor is that Lucien Favre or the Hoffenheim coach could be hired. I hope it doesn't happen. Tuchel has had a few bad games from a lineup/substitution point of view, but he is unbeaten at home in 2 seasons, turned around the mess that was Klopp's final season, and has groomed young talent to replace the transfers and injuries. A Champions League qualification and (hopefully) a DFB Pokal cup are the marks of a successful season in a league dominated by Bayern Munich.

TL:DR--All kinds of speculation over the relationship between coach and team CEO, including communication problems, not agressively trying to re-sign players, and so on. Probably easier to google it, there's a lot of speculation out there.

Ahh, I see you've stumbled upon Multimatch 90. This isn't the first time they've done that, at least on TV. They did it last season, as well. Although, I think it was just for the last matchday. This year they did it for the last 2 matchday's.

No Champions League for Arsenal next season.

No real surprises the last day. Personally, Swansea won to finish 15th, so I'm happy.

Not even a Fox invention, though. The Bundesliga has done whiparound coverage of the final matchday since before TV broadcasting was commonplace - it started as a radio "conference call" many decades ago.

Hey, if anyone has nothing better to do than stay up until 4am ET to watch Soccer, the US U20's will face Ecuador in the World Cup Opener. FS1 has the television.

U20's will face Senegal and Saudi Arabia on Thursday and Sunday respectively to finish group play.

Not exactly the biggest names of the U20 bunch. Carter-Vickers and Zelalam are the headliners.

VfB Stuttgart and Hannover 96 are back in the Bundesliga after only one relegated season. VfL Wolfsburg takes on TSV Eintracht Braunschweig for the right to play in the Bundesliga next season.

On a personal note, I would love for Vfl Wolfsburg to be relegated. Go Braunschweig!

The DFB-Pokal finale is this weekend in Berlin. In addition to the trophy, a Dortmund victory will give SC Freiburg a berth to Europa qualifying. If Eintracht Frankfurt win, it's Europa for them.

Josh Sargent has had one hell of a month. He wont stop scoring. Was great in the CONCACAF U-17s and scored two today in the U20 World Cup. He reminds me of young Dempsey.....in the immortal words of Bruce Arena about Deuce apply to him to...."He just tries ****."

I hope he sticks with Schalke...that kid is a friggin stud.

However, having watched that entire game, and quite a bit of the youth games in the past few months, my dear lord does our defensive future looks like complete **** if CCV, Miazga, Zimmerman, and Rosenberry don't step up.

CCV is playing hurt right now. It wasn't certain that he was going to play until the lineup came out and probably shouldnt have played.

He is much better than he'll look this week.

Oh I know, he's not one I'm worrying about. It's pretty clear he'll be a mid-to-high caliber international player for us, I just don't see any depth in the youth ranks at any position across the back four outside of those named and Brooks.

That was my thought watching the match. Boy, the attacking future of this team looks really bright when you throw in some of these guys with Pulisic. But good god we have absolutely no depth defensively. Yes, the group out there today got better as the game went on, but two of the goals we allowed scored because of terrible mistakes by the defense.

You guys are right though, Sargent is incredible for a kid his age. He'll be playing regularly in a Senior European League pretty quickly.
