RE: 2017-18 NBA thread: The Playoffs
Game 1 was about the highest level of basketball I had seen in a good long while. And unlike the 90's, where you even had stars like Jordan grind out games in the 80's decided in OT, it was high scoring fast paced action and not a boring defensive slugfest.

That Houston/GS game last night was insane and probably one of the few NBA games I've watched almost in full the entire playoffs.

I think the games will all be entertaining in that series.

The Rockets have exposed that Curry isn't anywhere near full strength. He's probably playing at 60-70%, and is a huge liability on defense against Harden or Paul, especially Harden. Either the W's leave Curry on the court and make it easier for the Rockets to score on every possession, or they have to sit him and get enough offense out of everyone else to stay with the Rockets.

Full strength or not, he's a liability against really good teams on defense. They have nowhere to hide him. If he's not hitting his shot, look out.

RE: 2017-18 NBA thread: The Playoffs
The Rockets are the only team with enough weapons to make it difficult to hide Curry on defense.

One possibility is to limit Curry's minutes when both Harden and Paul are on the floor, and to make a point of having Curry in whenever those two are not both in the game.

I'm interested in watching the Cavs get destroyed by Boston. Ohh the drama of LeBron's tenure as GM and coach comes to a burning up in flames end that sends the Cav's back to the Dark Ages of the NBA again AND LeBron has another made for tv special about him taking his talents to any number of suitors.

Yes, the W's played up to their abilities in game 3. Still have to win game 4 to keep home court advantage and keep the pressure on.

The Rockets sucked but it was more like a 30 point blowout that became worse in garbage time. The Rockets won by 22 last game but it was more like a 30 point blowout before garbage time.

I wouldn't read too much into either game.

Really uncharacteristic to see Golden State melt down in clutch time forcing several really bad shots. Also have to give the Houston D props holding the Warriors to 12 4th quarter points.

It's not unprecedented. That 4th quarter reminded me of the 4th quarter when the Warriors blew game 7 against the Cavaliers two years ago.

I bet missing Iggy threw off their rotation.

So glad Houston won. I can't stand Draymond Green and the cockiness of Curry. Chris Paul. He was the difference IMO. I know Harden scored a few more points but the veteran Paul was such a steadying influence and gets others involved in the flow.

LeBron might have an EPIC Game 6 in him in Cleveland but I think the Celtics got this series.

As much as I hate to admit it, I agree. Good gracious, a fully healthy Celtics team next year...

The Rockets baby! Man I hope CP3 can play. Hamstring injury and will be re-evaluated tomorrow.

The smart play is to rest him. They'd be a solid bet to lose by 20 in Oakland if they had a 28 year old, fully in his prime CP3.

Doesn't matter if they're going to suck every game @Boston.
