I can understand it in a way. I'm pretty sure it would apply to a Sikh turban too.

This is just creating rules when none are needed.

The police messed up. They should be able to remove a hijab, or religious covering, if they have some legitimate safety concern.

Guess what? That's the same rule they have now except with more wording in between.
