Finished Hanna. It was good but there are some areas where you need to suspend disbelief as some portions of the plot aren't developed completely. However it is an entertaining series.
Last night I started Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell. In short it is about magic in England during the age of Napoleon. An adult Harry Potter but more of a plot. I like watching the English actors as they are more about acting than fame unlike American actors. It looks to be a good series.
Trailer
PS I forgot to say that it is on Netflicks.

A buddy of mine found this show a couple of years ago but I didn't get into it until right before the New Year. It's called Letterkenny, about a small fictional town in Canada, a town full of "hicks, skids, and hockey players". It's hilarious with a lot of stupid comedy but I enjoyed it. Only a small handful of people I know know have seen it, as it originally aired only on Canadian tv but it is on Hulu now for all your viewing pleasure

Yes! A buddy from college got me hooked on Letterkenny. It's hilarious.

Netflix has a ton of BBC comedies and other non-US channels that are worth checking out. Some better than others, but most good for a laugh.
All these are on Netflix

Great show though.

It is a great show. They are giving the consumer exactly what they want.
Finished Jonathan Strange and Mr, Norrell. A good series with not too much exaggerated special effects or ridiculous turns in the story line due to magic. Well acted and very interesting plot. Worth a few evenings while waiting for GOT to start up and end quickly with the abbreviated last season.
Just finished watching the three seasons of Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix. It's really dark humor - The Walking Dead meets I Love Lucy. It's pretty funny at times but I'm not a fan of Drew Barrymore (who is the main undead zombie in the show). The rest of the cast is great though.
The Expanse, formerly of SyFy channel and currently moved to Amazon Prime Video. I’m not usually into futuristic shows but this show is just plain entertaining. It’s like Game of Thrones of the solar system. Factions, romance, deceit and great core group of actors. Give it a go before season 4 comes out.
On Netflix, a movie called The Highwaymen was released a few weeks back.
IMO, probably the best told story of the Bonnie and Clyde era. Instead of through the eyes of B&C, it's told through the lens of two former Texas Rangers who hunted them down. The film takes some liberties with what actually happened but by and large it's both an accurate portrayal and really, really good film. Perhaps the best original Netflix movie I've seen to date.
Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson - no brainer to see this if you haven't yet.

I thought it was pretty good as well. The scene where Kevin Costner walks into the gun store was pretty funny given todays political environment.

I watched this one too. It was good. I liked Costner a lot more than Harrelson (as he gets older, he sounds more and more like he has a mouth full of cotton when he speaks). It's interesting that they showed so little of Bonnie & Clyde in this movie. Netflix also put on the original B&C movie (the 1967 version with Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway) and I watched about 2/3rd of that all over again. That movie hasn't aged that great really. It's okay, and I get it's ground-breaking in some regards (especially the final scene), but honestly, it's a bit boring 52 years later.
If you want to watch another male-dominated new movie on Netflix, Triple Frontier isn't bad. It's a heist film in South America about four ex-military buddies who rob a drug king.
